Default Apartment Required - Santo Domingo

Moving to Santo Domingo for work within the next few months and looking for a long-term rental for up to 3 years.

I'm looking for an apartment in and around, Evarista Morales, Naco, Piantini, Julieta, Fernandez.

Needed: 2 bedroom unfurnished.
Budget: US$500 monthly

I'm happy to pay a % in advance for the right place.

Please PM or email if you have an apartment or know of one.

I'm sorry to say it like this, but you have to be dreaming to get a $500 a month 2 bedroom apartment in those areas.

Hi...I have to agree with ExtremeR. If you can find a $500 apartment in any of these areas you are a lucky person. I myself live in Evaristo Morales and we pay $700...But if I see any apartment in your price range I'll contact you.

We've looked at a number of apartments in those areas for a 2-3 year rental - the cheapest we were quoted was US$800.

Good luck with you search.

I own in that area.....and the cheapest I would rent is 45,000 pesos or 1200 US ...It all depends if you have to pay the maintenance or utilities....and FYI $17500 pesos is nothing ...... I hear there are some nice house for that price in Villa Mella.

There are two new apartment buildings in Gazcue-- both completely sold before construction-- both destined for rentals to "foreigners"-- one is ready -- two bedrooms for $750.. and that is in dollars.. (Just how many foreigners with that kind of money are they expecting?)

Crazy how prices are nowadays...I hope it is at least a house. Extremely overpriced IMO.
