we tend to hear more about the sankies than sankettes due to the fact that there are plenty of women "off the resorts". of course the same applies to men as well so we wonder why women get "sankie-fied" by men at a resort. additionally, sankettes tend to be low key because they may have to feed kids or keep a roof over one's head so losing one's job at a resort because of some sexual feelings for a "gringo" is unheard of.
