Audrav,

Don't even bother replying, remember this thread:

'I just got married in may to a DOMINICAN resort worker'.

It seems that she still can't spell or use punctuation in the right spots!!!!!!!
Of course, it wasn't meds she was on, remember, she told us she had been drinking. I guess it is from all the stress of bringing her Dominican husband to Canada after she started the paperwork almost a year ago!

Marlie

Thanks Marlie,

I did actually go back and read the posts. I can't believe it, well, actually I can, meds, alcohol, grammar school, what ever it takes. Good luck to her.

Hope you're keeping warm Marlie!

Default ok I'm Canadian and it's January 22nd...

I do have a question... so say I'm crazy for being back here... I don't mind.
Here goes... met a guy 2 years ago in Punta Cana, fell in love, went back twice in four months...

Then, thanks to the helpul advice, and I repeat very helpful (God knows I could have sent money but I haven't thanks to this board), I decided to forget about him and not go back. He kept calling and e-mailing, six months ago, I cut off all contacts... even hung up the phone on him when he changed his number to 1-829-... cause I thought DR was 1-809... only.

He calls December 10th to wish me Happy Holidays. Had just bought a trip to Puerto Plata and told him. He was very disappointed that I was going to DR but not to Punta Cana where he works.

My surprise... he took six days off work and came down from Punta Cana to Puerto Plata! Kind of a long ride I've been told. Would that be a typical sankie behaviour? Aren't there plenty of tourists in Punta Cana? He didn't hit the lottery with me and as I have said I hadn't seen him in the last 21 months and had no contact in the last six. (not because he didn't try)

what part about "cut off all contacts" you people do not understand?
you're canadian - of course he won a lottery with you! he must have plenty of those old numbers stored, getting ripe and ready to be re-heated.
ask yourself, if a man you fell for told you to get lost - would you keep on writing and calling?
be careful, gal....

Default I agree...

...he must have tons of hold phone numbers. But why go down to Puerto Plata? It is very far... isn't it? I've been told like ten hours or so. Why the trouble if it hasn't paid off?

Default Please explain...

Why do people on the board label EVERY Dominican man as a Sankie...you are so simple minded...if this exact same story too place in Italy...you would all be saying it was ROMANTIC and all be in line for your own ride on the Gondola !!! But because it's a Dominican...BOARD UP YOUR HOUSE....CUT YOUR PHONE LINE...FREEZE YOUR ACCOUNT...Give me a break....

I am not saying to going into anything blindly, but geez, who knows...If ever there was a forum the specialized in Stereotyping....hmmmm..it might be called DR1 Forums !!!!
