I've been reading for a while now and was almost afraid to give my opinion but I feel that you are really going crazy with this.

I'm glad you had a good time. You should go post a trip report in the travel section.

We do not hate the DR. In case you did not know it you are posting in the sankie forum. This is where we warn people that the big bad wolf might be waiting for you somewhere. It's not a forum to discuss how great the DR is or what a wonderful holiday anyone had. We have a huge travel section for that.

If you don't see any sankies and have never met one in your life than good for you. This section shouldn't concern you at all.


It's amazing to me that people who've had a wonderful time would even bother to come to this section but also amazing on how some never read anything but.

In case you missed it click here to write about your trip and no one will bother you as long as you don't mention the word sankie.

I know, they are kind of sensitive here. I am afraid to post too because I have been to the DR only twice but forget and post once in a while anyway. I think they do count how many trips each of us has had

Guys don't talk but it could be the reason they try so hard to warn others. The ones that live there see so much of it everyday.

Unless you go through the situation...you will never know how it feels...

Unfortunately, NO ONE knows what could happen to them BEFORE they go on a trip to paradise...once they find DR1...it's usually too late...

Now it's here for everyone to read...do you think they will ever learn???

My dear MQ, some days I feel that I along with many members have wasted years trying to help others. But here we are doing what we can even when we get bashed for it.

Will anyone learn? Well like you said, not till it's too late. Which hurts me a lot.

With language like that I doubt that even the sankies would approve.

Many of these guys are charming and speak many languages, and they can control with a special kind of power. But there have been some horrendous stories of what the real professional sankies have done to decent people here,
both men and women. In these cases it is not a laughing matter - some lovely people have lost everything they worked through their lives to obtain. Some even their lives.
