Not necessarily. However if she were to dress real sexy and too revealing and then go and visit a couple of guys in their hotel room alone at 2.00am in the morning and something inappropriate were to happen, of course we have to question her commonsense if not her motive.

I do not support rape in any form or shape but in such an instance, I think it would be reasonable to put some blame on her even if the culprits are sent to jail.

we're not talking about sexy pairs of anything. we're speaking about a grown woman who falls "in lust" with a resort guy which whom she would not do or been seen with at home. but is ok while away. those are the ones we are addressing here. not the young kids on a drinking binge that would make their fathers die. Not those.

One day I stayed at a resort and met female cop from the states (not mentioning where, but a very tough area). We talk about the weather, blah blah blah. Two days later I saw her and one of the workers in Costambar beach. Nothing crazy, she told me the next day. Just a little fun. This women is no fool, or no softie from the boonies. This is a female cop that works in a very tough area. She knows the score.

My point and I believe others is that, some not all but some men and women go to DR and find this one time romance to be real and fall victim to there own feelings even against better judgement and their own gut feelings. Some actually come out to be great friends or even relationships, some end up with somebody hurt. It happens so beware. I warn all of my first timers don't fall in love and get caught up on vacation. Do all of them listen no not all.

I suppose it would be wasted energy to say the following, but my fingers aren't tired yet, so I'll give it a shot.
Telling a friend that he/she set themselves up to be a victim, is one thing, and it may or may not be true, but that's a far cry from sharing the blame.
Being out late at night in a dark deserted area may not be wise, but if the person were to be robbed, he/she would not share in the blame.
He/she would be guilty of a poor decision, or maybe not be a very wise person, but certainly not share in the blame.
The perp commits the act.
He and he alone is completely to blame.
Not the victim, not his mother for not loving him enough, not his uncle for sexually assaulting him when he was a child, not his daddy for beating him...
No one but himself.
One has to accept responsibility for one's actions.
To blame it on others is wrong.
