So I really had enough of this sankie stuff... I go quite frequently to resorts for a weekend or couple of days (about once a month) and I am really feeling my blood boiling seeing these sankies - resort workers - all over the tourist women, young and old, fat and slim, pretty and ...not so pretty...

So I was contemplating this idea... to print out a small poster (the stuff you can copy for one peso a piece) directing potential victims to DR1 and providing some basic information about sankies... something along the lines of "you can lose your heart and moch more, your money, ... etc.." and handing these posters out to women I see with sankies.

My question: Good idea or a bad one? Am I asking for lots of trouble?

What I find funny is how one-sided this whole topic is.

If anyone were to have the audacity to say that this whole sanky business is a two way street, the post will get deleted.

Y'all can have your opinions, but I seriously doubt many of you have enough knowledge into what motivates grown women into acting the way they do when they date guys who work in AI hotels.

Or the fact that we are talking about grown women here, not little children who need our protection from predators.

The sankys' powers of seduction are overblown and quite frankly some people hold them in awe because of this-why, I don't know. Like these guys are a special sub-species of dominican gigolo with svengali-like powers that are just too irresistible to any woman that get caught in their web.

Is telling some woman how beautiful she is and how much you love her via email and long-distance phone calls enough to seduce her into sending money and taking trips she may not be able to afford?

These women want to believe what can't possibly be true. You can't save someone from that.

As for Rubio_Higueys' idea, I would like to know what is at the bottom of this tirade.

If it bothers you so much there are options for you, like the resorts on Calle Isla Verde in San Juan, Puerto Rico. There you will find the tranquility you obviously cannot find in the resorts of the DR, and will no longer have to be tormented by the sankies you despise so much.

I totally agree here with you man, people like to forget sometimes that you only get as far with a woman as she'll let you; the battle is already in their favor from the get go since women are 10 times more likely to get with a guy and let their inhibitions go when they are on vacation since they rationalize that anything they do will not affect them back home.
It is folly to think that handing out fliers and ''getting the word out'' will somehow discourage women from getting with dudes they meet on vacation. It has been my experience that women seldom use ''logic'' as we men think of the term when selecting a mate.If they feel it is right then it is right.
The OP has to search deep within himself and figure out why he would go on this unwindable ''crusade''.
If he is serious about this then he needs to go to Brazil,Mexico,Jamaica and every other place that has beaches and resorts because this isn't just happening in DR like most posters on here would like people to think. (on this and other issues)

And to Berzin... for example last time I was in Riu's disco, Pacha, I saw several women eating fast food late at night with the resort workers all over them, eating and hugging them, they (women) buying the food and drinks. They looked like they were in loooove...

Yesterday I saw quite cute north american girl dancing in a hotel disco where I am staying right now, with three animation staff guys dancing "pegaito". She was obviously enjoying it... she was either a cuero or absolutely clueless...

And before the fine clown and others jump on me, no I do not need three women all over me, I suffice with one I am with.

Sometimes you have ideas, but you do not act on all the ideas. That's why I put the question to the public forum, to hear the opinions, beforehand.

All we are saying is, since this really bothers you, is maybe you should not go to these resorts.

Because the scenario you paint goes on at every single AI in the DR, Jamaica and many other places.

You cannot take the stance that grown women acting like children need to be protected from themselves. You just can't.

Mix low self-esteem, vanity and the rock-star treatment these women get from the resort workers and you will get what you see and dislike at these resorts every time.

Listen, I totally hear what you are saying and I am not attacking you. But if you really knew where these womens' heads were at, it may make you see them in a different light.

They are not innocent, naive babes lost in the woods. Their behavior fills a need, neurotic and vain as it may seem to us.

Yes, I noticed how some women just loooooooooooooooove the attention. They would do pretty much ANYTHING to get it weather it is good or bad. Unfortunately media and some celebrities provide a really bad example for them. The problem is - celebrities are paid for it, and those women can loose everything in the process.

I suppose the difference that some of the moderators and posters tend to point out is that women who are looking for a physical fling - and no more - know what they're getting into, have their fun, and move on. Those aren't the types who post the "does anyone know sankie X" questions, because they really couldn't care less.

It's the ones who, as a previous poster wrote, suffer from a combination of rum, repression, and rock-star treatment who confuse the fantasy for reality, and will do anything, like multiple trips, a WU lifeline, or actually bringing them back to their own country - in order to extend the experience.

After all, once you've lived a Mercedes lifestyle for a few weeks, it's hard to go back to your Civic-esque reality.

Rubio you have a good idea but unfortunately it would be a waste of your energy.

DRob said it best in his post above. Those that enjoy the attention, want to spent their money, have fun and leave till next time are not our concern. It's the ones that return confused by this experience that we try and help.

It doesn't always work but we hope that someone else not asking the questions will read and see themselves or will be prepared to see how things really are for next time they go.
