iTunes music purchased from Apple is "protected" and will only play on authorized devices.
If this is from other sources, you can share on DROPBOX.
Where are you trying to move from to?

If you are just moving your own music files from desktop to laptop, USB transfer from the external HD is a LOT faster than DROPBOX. DROPBOX is for file sharing to others remotely.

I don't have any use for Dropbox, It was brought up by Windeguy...............
I rely on External 1T hard drives....
