Default Weekend in Santo Domingo

Has anyone ever gone to DR for a long weekend from Toronto?
Air & Hotel package.
If so what airline/tour company did you use and if you did it all seperately which is the best way to do this to get the best fare.

I have gone for only two days once, and three and four days more than once. There aren't packages for 3 or 4 days but you can try the online places to see. I really doubt it (though to Vegas and Bahamas they are quite common).

Otherwise I fly AA via Miami if you leave Toronto at 6:30 a.m. you can be in SDQ by 1:27 p.m (2:27 when we are on Standard time) and you can take the 3 p.m. (4 p.m. Std time) flight out and be in Toronto at 10:35 p.m.

If they are having Netsavers (like now) then the fares may be reasonable (at least the US to DR part) but you'd need to find a non AI hotel, and as Martha sez: that's a good thing. You may also need to leave Sat and come back on a Tue or Wed to get the Netsavers.
