hotel near Santo Domingo airport???

Hi all,
We are flying in for our first visit to DR, staying most of the time in/near LT. On the way back we need to stay one night (April 10) near Las Americas airport outside Santo Domingo. Any recommendations for a decent spot just to crash? (oops). A/C preferred/safe/reasonable...no other frills. We'd rather not have to go into the city. Thanks!!! We are getting excited about seeing this amazing place!

if you really want to see "amazing" then go to Santo Domingo............you seem to have heard wonderful things about LT and bad about the capital..........SD is not all dirty and crime infested.........LT is where rich people from SD go to their smaller country home for the weekend......LT is nice for the weekend but only poor bumpkins can actually live there......no opera, no symphony, no hookers, YUK.............
