Any Hotels in the U.S Embassy vicinity ?

Hello, Does anyone knows any good afordable hotels in walking distance or short ride to the U.S Embassy of Santo Domingo.

i thought the US Embassy is moving to a new location...

Aparta-Hotel Florida is close by.

But all taxi rides in Santo Domingo are only like, what? RD$100-150??
Stay where you are comfortable.

A great hotel with reasonable rates not to far away from the Embassy(but you will still need a taxi) is Hotel Residencia Venezia.

Yes I heard that too, well I guess I meant to say the U.S consulate where they have the visa interviews.

The closest hotel that I know of is the Courtyard by Marriott. Definately Walking Distance.

I stayed several times at Courtyard by Marriott, when visiting SDQ. It is next block to an embassy (not more than 100 mts). Rates are about 100 dollars per night with taxes.

Like I said - go to the Hotel Residence Venezia - it's only RD1386, it's clean, got hot water, in a nice area (near the Melia and Jaragua and Malecon). With the RD1800+ you save every night you stay there you can probably get all the taxis you want and eat well, and see a movie with the change!

Hurry up and call - they fill up quick!
