Question Lava stones for BBQ? Where??

Anyone knows where to buy volcanic (lava) stones for the BBQ? I have been to/called Ferreteria Americana, Hache, Unidos, Cuesta, Nacional, Pricesmart…and nothing! I used to see them everywhere but now they are nowhere to be found.

Default Lava rocks for BBQs have become unobtanium since Stainless steel is used now

With all the new BBQs using stainless steel manifolds to distribute the heat, the market for lava rocks has disappeared. I tried to find some for about a year and gave up. Someone had a few left over that we now use over part of my grill, but I really need to get someone with sheet metal experience to bend up some of stainless steel for my custom BBQ.

Anyone know of someone that can bend sheet metal like that around the North Coast? I have a BBQ that is about 2.5 by 3 feet.

I have a small amount of the ceramic stones now and that would work for me if I could get more.

The ceramic stones are more expensive, but should last longer.

Which store location had them?
