Default Agua Splash Caribe

Anyone know anything about this waterpark in SD? I found their web site but it doesn't give information such as the price of admission, and doesn't have many photos of the different waterslides or pools.

I am wondering how far outside of the colonial zone it is, how much it costs, and if it would be appropriate for my group of travelers (my husband and I, 2 Dominican 18 year olds and 3 Americans 18-22yrs)

Well for starters get any images of an American water park out of your mind.

Water is not the clearest ( maybe due to PP or algy ).

It features 2 large slide ( pretty kool ), 2 small lagoons, a 9ft pool, and section small kids.

Very nice Gazebo's and a small dance floor also a bar that sales beer right next to the pool. GO FIGURE! Also food, tasty Plantons con salami.

Maybe 3 or 4 lifeguards all teenager, most of the time they are chica chasing.

Also a few loud teenagers who disregard any rules, and constantly cut in front of any line.

But no vendors harrassing you and descent sun bathing.

An a ideal place for kids up to the age of (16) I would guess.

10 mins from CZ, I believe $200 pesos for adults.

Hope this helps.

thanks for the reply. Your feedback helped get a better picture of what the place is like.

I actually called today and was able to find out the price (200 pesos- you were correct) so from that I figured it probably wasn't going to be all that big, and probably not like a US water park that might cost 30 or $40 for a day pass.

We may or may not go ...if we do it will just be to spend a few hours in the sun, get some lunch, and take it for whatever it is without having to spend too much $.

Some of the info on the web site must have changed because I got different info from the employee I talked to.

She said ....Agua Splash is currently open Thursdays-Sundays, 11am-7pm ...cost for adults is 200p on Thurs and Fri, 250 on weekends.

I will leave more info on this thread if we go for anyone else who might be interested .....it was difficult for me to find info on this message board or on the major trip feedback websites, so perhaps it will help someone else.

Please post info if you decide to go. I have seen the park several times. It is located on Ave. Espana after the Naval Base and a short distance before you enter the Autopista on the left hand side coming from ZC.
