Hey i'm going to be in sd for the next 5 days...any suggestions on what to see/do? I'm going on a tour one day, but after that nothing is planned. I'm mainly interested in taking photos....I'm in staying at the hotel sofitel ovando if that helps...thanks!

There is the Botanical Garden, a very beautiful and peaceful place to check out.

Then there is the Faro A Colon, a huge building that is very impressive when seen in person. Get there before it closes around 5 or 6 I believe so you can tour the inside.

The aquarium was a bit disappointing, I wound up feeling sorry for the poor fish that are forced to call that place home so you may want to skip it.

And there is the series of underwater caves and lagoons in Parque Los Tres Ojos.

You go down some steps and take a boat that separates the underwater caves from the lagoons. It is quite pleasant.

For pictures take plenty of the colonial zone. It has the feel of a European City with the historic buildings and cobblestone streets. Around Naco and Piantini you have the more modern comercial buildings as well as some residential. I'm a fan of architecture so I love to observe buildings. For nightlife there's plenty. You have exclusive clubs but you better dress like a gentleman or you will be denied entry. If Chopo hangouts are you thing, then there are plenty of that as well.
