Default Taxi fare from Metro to SDQ
Does anyone have an idea of how much it'll cost a cab from Metro (around the Acropolis) to the airport?

Also, I'd appreciate if you could give me an idea of how long it'll take to get to the airport (from Metro) at around 12:45pm.

I have been quoted RD$1000 by drivers for Apollo Taxi. So figure, with the increase in fuel prices, a bit more.

thats about right. i paid about $35 USD a few months back...i only did it once but if memory serves me right, it took about 45-50 minutes to SDQ. i would give yourself an hour just in case.

the price and time (because of time of day) are about right, without major traffic it's less than 30 minutes. You can negotiate with the cab driver, but expect to pay around $30-$35. Someone who has recently flown into SDQ can maybe give the price listed on the signs at the airport.
