What's the word on "Cinema Cafe" , I checked out their website but it didn't say iof they have poetry nights there. Anyone know? Or care to share anything about the vibe of the place in general? Thanks.

Was just there on Friday night. The bar is an open patio with a center stage and some private side rooms. Very chill vibe with mainly lounge music, but this depends on the night. They have a pretty wide drink list and offer films and live music regularly.

A nice spot to start the night...

This is my favorite place to go to in Santo Domingo. Laid back, chilled vibe, great music, very good food. I like to come for lunch during the day, but its great fun place to hang out at night too when there is music. I have never seen poetry readings while I have ever been there, but would not be at all surprised to find out that they do them. They have a calendar of events on their website, or you can e-mail them to find out if and/or when the next poetry will be, but you should definitely check it out nonetheless.
