Hotel/Room Near Los Alcarrizos

Hey everyone - I am going to be on a mission trip in March working at a Fey y Alegria school near Los Alcarrizos, SD. I have one housing option, but I was wondering if anyone could recommend a hotel close to that area?

Los alcarrizos is a very poor area. it is very large and there are places where it could be danger for gringos. if you have a peace corp looks, not problem.
there is a hotel at the entrance of the alcarrizos, in the autopista duarte. I guess there is lot of noisy from big trucks and cars anytime. also most of this hotels (not for tourists) rent rooms for hours. so, expect some drunks and pros after midnight.

Thank you and you are certainly correct about Los Alcarrizos. I've spent time there before and it certainly be rough. I do have the peace corps look (most of my work is building latrines outside the city), but it is a bit scary at times.

I think I will wind up closer to town, maybe a cheap place in west SD with a day or two at the Fiesta Dominicana for a treat.
