Ferry Service to Panamá and Venezuela?

I picked up a 2009 Fodor's Guide to the DR yesterday. It has a map that shows ferry service from Santo Domingo to Colón, Panamá and Guaira, Venezuela. Yet the book gives no details about it.

Everywhere else I've read says the only ferries are to Puerto Rico.

Are there ferries to Panamá and Venezuela?
