Need help in santo domingo

The power cord failed on my Dell XPS 1330 Laptop and my batttery is near dead. Without the laptop I have no place to put my photos, therefore the camera's XD card will fill up and I won't be able to take any more. I am at the Renaissance Jaragua on the Malecon in Santo Domingo.

Where can I find a store here in SD that would have a power cord for my laptop?

There is a computer shop on Lopez de Vega/Gustavo M. Ricart
(in front of Pola) that have Dell parts...trying to find the name..maybe another member knows it.. closer to you then Nunez

Purchasing a power cord in SD sounds like a fairly expensive proposition.

Right in your neighborhood is a great little computer store... on Casimira de Moya which is the next street up from Independencia, about two blocks east, towards the Zona, between Cervantes and Pasteur. The 20 son, Raul, is fluent in English and if they cannot find you a laptop cord, they can at least figure out how to download the pix for you so that you can carry on with your vacation.
