Looks to me like Kristy Alley found a place to hang her clothes out to dry!

I ate there in March. I took my friend and his girlfriend there for dinner as a thank you for a week of wonderful room and board in Los Marlins. It was a fantastic dining experience. The atmosphere is phenominal - I think it's heavy into Feng Shui. I found sitting on the beds to eat was a little akward, but nothing that would prevent me from going back. Dinner was VERY expensive - I believe we had 3 appetizers, and 2 entrees between us, plus a few drinks, and I think we ordered extra lobster and shrimp on our entrees - for a total bill of about $300US when all was said and done. My friend's girlfriend is a local Dominicana, so I'm sure we weren't ripped off at all, because she watches like a hawk.

All in all a very pleasant dining experience though. I would never have expected to find a place like that right where it was.

The place does have an airy, French-Polynesian feel. Very unique.

Default A que "aura"??

We passed by this place last Sunday just after midday and it was still empty - I guess those who can afford it are not too strong on early-rising. It did have a very chic kind of Maldivian look about it though - the sort of place that producers of laundry-powder commercials would go crazy about.

We've heard a lot, on the forum here and elsewhere, about how frightfully expensive it can be, but does anyone here have any real experience of how inexpensively ( not to say cheaply), it can be done? Someone suggested that we should all have a good breakfast at home, followed by a hot-dog or two on the road and then make do with a salad and soft drink once there.

How practical is that....anyone ?????
