hello I am new to thie board, I also am looking to rent an apartment or condo for a month+ , we need a large 1 bedroom , looking at the photos of hemingway, where is near what resort ? there seems to be a lot of development in this area ,Juan Dolio used to be a favorite location. I will read the post for further advise on how to go about the rental as we have always done the all inclusive . looking for a change. thanks for future info.

From Capella (the all inclusive hotel) going up the boulevard towards San Pedro you have Hemingway (around 1000US$ a week for rental), Costa del Sol (about the same price), Costa del Sol 2 (nearly ready) Marbella (in construction) Maxim Bungalows (being renovated), Guavaberry Country Club (members only), empty lot (to be 5 star Costa hotel) Con Con restaurant, Albatros aparthotel, couple of houses and lots, El Retiro apartments, Abdimar 2 apartments (under construction).

Does that help?

The closest town to Consuleo is San Pedro. I am not an expert on the hotels there, but if you google them there is one called Howard Johnson and another I think called the San Pedro or Macoris or something like that. It will take you about 25 minutes by bus to Consuelo.
