It the seems like this thread is a promotion of Juan Dolio as the South Beach of the Caribbean, not a discussion of Juan Dolio and its realities and how this impacts on the area in general. Unfortunately for those who enjoy reading about the "realities" of where we live and invest, there is much more to Juan Dolio than the post up pictures of water and beach. I don't see the other side, the real end of it, which includes the life of those of us who have invested there, and who share in the realities of life there. Yes, there are development projects underway that are interesting and promising for the future- but if you discuss the lack of energy, or the incredibly high energy costs associted to an investment in this area (highest in the world - correct me if wrong), the very high maintanance costs associated to running these structures, the "sewage" issues, the delays on key projects (water treatment), the lack of drinkable water sources, road and infrastructure decay, and the alarming rate of crime increase, the post is deleted at once - the environment impact on the area and the lack of proper waste disposal is a huge issue and problem- perhaps we can take pictures of the road behind Metro CC and publish those as well, disgusting.
I am a firm beleiver in Juan Dolio, but this page's inability to deal with the critical issues that confront the area lead to a dismal representation of what really goes on, and what every resident should know and would like to know about the area.
IN a country where there is so much control about what is published and about what is said, its unfortunate that these pages fall to the same prey.
