Default pond smell...

As bad as that smell is, whatever is coming in the air can't be good for anyone's health. When, or what, are the plans to deal with this health issue?

I think that is impossible.
It are gasses from a pond.
I think it is very diffucult to sell apartements in Costa Blanca if the people smell this.
But perhaps at Costa Blanca you don't smell it.
You smell it one kilometer before the bridge.

There are few smaller lagoons that will become the part of the new development as preserved wetland on the golf course . The ''pond'' that you are referring to and the biggest one is closer to the highway than to the seafront lots where the apartments and villas will be built . The area is really huge around there . And yes you don't smell it from there . May be because of the breeze from the sea

just simple curiosity-

considering the huge area around there, can the investor be assured that the oder that gravitates from the smelly rotting pond located nearer to the street than to the seafront lots will not reach his/her new investment while it travels as far away as the Cost del Sol area of Juan Dolio? What happens when the breeze dies down, reverses, and the sugar refinery decides to warm up and burn some sugar?

Question--How many "investors" (read general population) will even think about intelligent questions like this?? Perhaps it will be clear to them in the disclosure statment? Yeah right-LOL.

Some possible questions that might be part of seller's disclosure:
1) Do you know of any smelly, rotten pond smells?
2) Do you know of any smells coming from burning of rotten food, garbage or toxic waste?
3) Are you aware of raw sewage leeching into your property? Solid waste?

Enough.

I am sure that in the future the smell from the pond reaches the buildings from Costa del Sol, because of the Nord-East passat.
They can never solve this problem from this smell from the pond.

I've seen some great posts here and some very interesting comments. Steve is the man! Great info! I'm sorry, but my post will be totally off subject........

I've got a couple questions if anyone can help me out. I bought a condo (or apartment) at Marbella in the 1st phase.

Realistically......... When do you think this project will be finished?

What is the best way to sell an apartment/condo prior to it being finished or is that a bad idea?

One more...... Does anybody lend on these projects?? I've paid about 60% already and would love to finance a small portion of it if possible.

Marbella phase one should be finished within a year and phase in 2 years.
It might be better to wait to sell until they're finished and about financing why don't you talk to Michael or Steve of Metro or any of the sales staff.
