"Piñero Group has acquired the Hotel Santana Beach, which is located in a splendid bay between La Romana and San Pedro de Macorí, in the Dominican Republic, with an exclusive location on the beachfront.

The hotel will be commercialised from November 1st 2007 onwards as the Gran Bahía Príncipe La Romana ***** and will operate with the All-inclusive system. It will have 192 Junior Suites and 400 superior standard rooms.

With this new acquisition the Group now has 10 Hotels in the Dominican Republic and furthermore is one of the leading Spanish hotel chains in the country."

The Santana Beach resort is nice, but the beach is quite poor. They would need to re-do the beach in order for this to really be a 5 star. But after my recent experience in BP Cayo Levantado (theft from inside of hotel room) I don't think I will be visiting BP soon.

Hi I Would like to know what will be changed at Principe la Romana from it's previous name....

I went to the santana resort and have to agree that the beach was not impressive...

would you have any information as to what will is being changed with the resort to make it a 5*.

Any info would be appreciated.
