yup...looks like i am going back next week!

Got layed off from work yeseterday after 10 years. I got a decent severance package...and i am going to be in need of R&R before i decide to get back to real life and finding a job (one day...and i already have 2 prospects).

well..i am sure it will be quiet this time of year...but if anyone is going to be in the B.C. or S.D area this time and would like to meet up...let me know!

i might even finaly get up to sosua this time :-)

very cool! i will definitely start out in B.C. but after all i have heard here on DR1....i kinda would like to take some time and go north and check out sosua.

this might be a final farewell to DR for a bit. I got a good severance package from my job (8 months)...so i will have money...but i am just not sure how much vacation time i will get at a new job.

I think it should be interesting traveling to DR durring the off season. I am very interestied in doing some non beach activities...i wanna see caves etc!!!

ok kyle....and anyone else...hope to see ya there

on an off note, sounds like you need a Costa Rica trip..caves, rain forests, volcanos, pacific/altantic beaches, women from columbia/panama/nicaragua/honduras, etc.

i've been 2 times and i had a great time.

A bum from Joisey!! Well the Devils are doing okay, the Nets are inthe post season, Rutgers got some tremendous recruiting assistance from Don Imus, the flooding in Butler and Little Falls is going down....so life is good...

I heartily suggest a trip to the North Shore..yes I do. Why? You ask?

Well, for starters, you haven't been there yet. From Monte Cristi in the west to Samaná in the east, it is a "whole 'nuther world" with really nice people. Add to the fact that you actually have people you know (albeit in an internet fashion) that can sort of point you in the right direction, and there you have it!
As an added plus, if you play your cards right, you can get an invite for "coffee and" here at the hovel....now that does not happen all that often...

AND, two ol' Joisey guys can hash it out for a while..(there is also rum, cigars, beer, etc etc available)

sounds like bliss hillbilly.

i know i know i know...i keep on hearing how much nicer the north coast is vs the south. I just have a friend in the south that always makes me feel at home. I dont pay a thing for food when i am there...he always cooks amazing dinners for me...baracuda, pulpo, pescado con leche de coco etc.

but yeah...since i have the extra time off right now i want to make this a special trip and do some things that i have not had the luxury to do.

right now..i am looking to travel next thurs....saturday night santo domingo...sunday i love b.c. with all the families hanging out and having a good time......soooooo perhaps monday i will travel up to sosua and see what the fuss is all about!!!! I definitely want to try the ribs at rocky's

ok...i think i am out of my post employment depression...and i am gonna start gearing up for this trip!!!

yeeeeeeeeeeeeah!!!!

D@mnit! I hope to be out of the country from the 28th until the 6th of May....if you are around after the 6th, my invite stands, absolutely....
There is a nice Jersey gal out in Samaná, but not for long....she lived in West New York....
