Nanny/babysitter

Hello,

I'm hoping that some people on here may have suggestions on finding a good nanny/sitter for my 5 year old son. I'm not looking for someone full-time, merely for some support in the afternoons & weekends and an evening out from time to time. and needless to say, they'd have to be excessively trustworthy & some english would be preferrable but not necessary i suppose.

Does anyone currently have a good sitter they'd be willing to share sometimes? or a nice, reliable older child that might be interested? I'd also be willing to discuss some type of childcare trade idea (your child comes over to my house one night, mine to yours one night etc....)

oh yes, and any info on what people generally pay for such services would be helpful as well. I've heard that a full-time nanny is around RD$4000/month, sound about right?

Please someone must know of someone who had a fabulous nanny & they've left recently.

I also keep getting asked what i can pay, I could really use any info on what others customarily pay for such services.
