I would imagine that you will have to get out of Metro, and maybe go into Guayacanes or Juan Dolio. Call Matilda or MommC, denizens of that area....
Good luck...

Ooh, HB DO TELL...Our situation is that we've had one year contract, a 6 mo extension (because at one point they wanted to move back in) and now they want it off the rental market to sell (but they've changed their minds so many times that I can't keep track.) Not to complain, bec we aren't picky...but the hotwater heater hasn't worked in 8 mo, pool in over a year, most of the light fixtures shock you, the stove explodes when it's lit, we've replaced the washing machine and frig. They continue to refuse to make any repairs and IF we want another contract, they want to make US liable FOR ALL damage up to and including from hurricanes & earthquakes!
Thus, we need to move. At this point, my understanding is that if we pay our rent on time, they can't kick us out without due notice. However, a friend of my dh said they CAN kick us out with 7 days notice. 7 days notice is mighty slim and would put the 5 of us in quite a pickle esp around the holidays.
I'm just really annoyed with myself for allowing this same person to talk my dh out of us renting Fred & Denise's house back in June before our 6 mo contract ext kicked in. He basically told us that if we moved out of Metro that our gringo kids would either be kidnapped or killed. That was enough to terrify my dh (he trusts this man implicitly.)
