there seems to be quite a few of us going to be in B.C. next week. (i am still uncertain but am really leaning towards it).

We really should try to do a group thing. Either pizza at the main plaza (its quite good actually) or the beach on sunday.

I am thinking of staying at Costalunga for a change. I just miss P&G at Candil so much and they have raised their prices. I am traveling on a tight budget this year so costalunga may win out for me

but for real. A DR1 get together would be cool! I met lizzard and hubby last year...really fantastic people. Anyone else up for dinner or some presidentes later on the strip lets work on it.

It looks like i will be leaving on tues or wed.

Well I will be there on Monday the 18th Staying at the El Candil along with another DR1er Sawsky who has been there since the 31rs of Jan. We will definitley get together heck we are all around the corner from each other!!! Will not be the same Jrzguy if your at Costalunga butttttt its all GOOD!! Ruben I have stayed at the Garant Hotel myself was a few years back and it is a very nice, clean hotel. I happen to like the air conditioning and apartment style setting at the Candil. Well 4 more sleeps for me til I be in the warm sunny DR!!! Looking forward to having a fiesta or two!! :

awesome lizzard!!! i am booked (as you know). now lets see if anyone else here on DR1 is going to be around.

I am booked for 8 days....and most definitely will be heading into the capital on saturday (next saturday).

c'mon...lets gets some DR1 love going here and get a good time going either in BC or SD!!!!!

We have stayed there as well but like the apartment style rooms at the Candil much better. We would like to go on an over night excursion to the North Coast. Hi Ruben, Bunny People, Boca Chica Visitors,

My wife Kendra and I (Ron) are staying at the Zapata until March 12, leaving Boston on Feb. 19. We have been all over the DR and would like to find travel mates. Our email which we'll have on our laptop is toleos@comcast.net.
We want to attend the carnival at La Vega this year. If you haven't experienced it, and you love the DR culture as we do, it will be a most memorable day! Google La Vega Carnival.
I like to snorkel and need a partner as Kendra is a beach gal mostly.

Have you done a night in the Colonial Zone? Wow. Lots of fun and culture.

We have some great spots to visit in the Puerto Plata area as well. The beach at nearby Sosua is incredible. We"ll look forward to seeing you all at some point. I am a retired Spanish speaking history teacher and folk singer from Mass.

The Candil is a lovely elegant place. Have a great time.

well...i plan on going NEXT week....and am pretty sure that i will be in the capital on saturday. so why not try to set something at at playa bonita for sunday or monday? Nothing fancy...just some pizza and some presidentes. If we want more drinks there is always the colmado down the street. We could also do Da Nancy...but that place in the middle of town is just nice and casual.
