Thanks for your fast reply. So we'll probably take a day trip to Isla Saona or maybe Isla Catalina. Maybe the latter is less crowded...

Default They are both worth a day trip if you have time.....

Two very different experiences and two gorgeous locations!

Although if a cruise ship happens to be at Catalina it definitely will have more people there. Not that you would notice though as the tour boats moor farther down the beach.

Take lots of sunscreen......you'll need it!

Usually spend my time in town but this year thought about doing a 1 day trip. Which would you suggest?

Hopefully see you Mar 15 at Playa Vista!!

Default They should both be busy as I believe that's Samana Santa...

So what do you prefer.....lying in the sun baking your bones or snorkeling??

The snorkeling is better at Catalina (not much to see at Saona but you may see dolphins on the trip there or back!).

Of course you may get to see whales (or at least hear them) on a trip to Catalina.......

Given my druthers, I'd 'druther' Catalina but you owe yourself at least one trip to Saona!

Makes deciding easy, doesn't it?
