Question La Romana Wedding

My fiancee' and I are planning to be married in the La Romana area next April, and are interested in some inputs from all you knowledgable people on here. We are planning to stay at the Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus due to past good experiences and could conceivably have the wedding ceremony there (the reception will certainly be there). Given that the only venues they have for ceremonies are the gazebo and the beach (the gazebo is too small for our 20-30 person guest list and the beach lacks any intimacy), we are hoping that there may be a bit more secluded / private location nearby with incredible ambience. We are intending a non-denominational religious ceremony (my bride is not a practicing Catholic). Thank you.

Not sure if you can have a ceromony at Altos De Chavon overlooking the Chavon river or near apitheatre but it is a beautiful place and not to crowded.

I agree Altos de Chavon would be perfect, beautiful location. If you are looking also for some entertainment for the wedding reception, something that will really get your guests talking fire dancing, bride and groom stilt walkers, acrobalance routineand more i have some information for you, PM me if you are interested.

You can get married at Altos de Chavon, even at the little church there if inclined, but it has to be arranged through Casa de Campo. It may be easy or really difficult depending on who you reach and the time of year.

For ebatdc, the church is arranged through the local minister and becomes denominational. May not be what YOU had in mind, but may suit others.

Question

Can spaces other than San Estanislao be used around Altos de Chavon? I agree that it would be perfect, but when we contacted the folks at Iberostar HD, they referenced only the church and said it had to be Catholic. That surprised me given the number of beautiful venues there.

I heard that Casa de Campo caters for wedding ceremonies for couples of all religions and none, but this is sure to cost a pretty penny.
