I will be relaxing in La Romana this August at Dreams Resort. Opinions? How's August like in La Romana and at Dreams? Any events worth attending?

I love this resort. I hope you'll enjoy it too. I just returned on Sunday.

Keep an eye on the DR1 schedule of entertainment events, particularly those at Altos de Chavon. I saw Julio Iglesias in the amphitheatre there, and there are usually 4 big name shows a year (lots of others too though). In the last 3 months Carlos Santana, Enrique Iglesias and Andrea Bocelli headlined.

You can buy WiFi from the internet centre. If you're staying in Preferred Club, you get it free. You'll still have to set it up (go to the Club concierge and get a voucher that you take to the main internet centre where they'll provide you with what you need) but it is available.
