What happened to Caribbean Sun restuarant?

Any one know what happened to Caribbean Sun restaurant? I saw that it had been knocked down. Its the one next to the caribbean sun beach. That beach used to be called Embassy beach. Its half way between Boca Chica and Juan Dolio.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think you mean Playa Caribe, not Embassy or Carribean Sun beach.

It's an interesting question, to say the least. I used to go to Playa Caribe all the time, before there was anything built around it.

I had a guy that tried to sell me a small condo next door to the restaurant a little while back. He was in the entertainment business in Miami, and according to him, all of that area had been bought by Julio Inglesias, to do some mega tourism project.

Everyone who believes that, raise their hand.

It's interesting how they've leveled the area, and haven't done anything since.

My personal opinion is that it was all leveled to do away with the numerous "rave" parties that were being held there, far from the prying eyes of mami and papi.

The name of the beach is Playa Caribe . Sometimes it was called in the past Playa Embassy because of the old hotel Embassy that was located there and the name of the Restaurant / Bar / Night Club was ''Caribbean Sun'' , both where knocked down . And Caribbean Sun was a very popular place , where took place mentioned numerous parties and Electronic Music concerts before ... something like this ... The restaurant is a pile of ruble now. Maybe they are going to build something better or they just did nt pay their taxes? Actually that whole area is full of abandoned projects. I wonder why?

That place seemed to be in pretty good condition too, and had a nice capacity. Rumour I heard was that the people from PAV entertainment were buying - they are the same people that do the parties. Not sure if that's true, but thats the rumour i heard.
