Default Need tips for Juan Dolio, Boca Chica or other beaches near Sto Domingo

Hello

I am currently staying in Sto Domingo and I would like to go only 1 day to the beach. I am looking for beach accomodations of which I can pay a daily fee and be able to enjoy beach accomodation. For example, use the swimming pool, the shower, the beach bed... ect...

Do you have any recommendation? How much can it cost?

Thank you
Vivile

1. Guayacanes - the fishing village before Juan Dolio. Restaurant el Pescador has sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach. Plus nice toilets. Cost is nothing but you just have to buy drinks and/or food.

2. don Pedro bar or Popeye bar in old Juan Dolio. Same as above

3. guavaberry beach club in Juan Dolio. Sames as above plus has a pool - but am not sure if they are open to non members - keep changing their policy.

I like el pescador and Don Pedro bar

No, embassy beach is further away up towards boca Chica. On other beach ideas - do not go to Aura. it is closed. Word is that it is being remodelled and will reopen at the end of next month. However the beach chairs are still there so you can go and use the beach - bring your own food and drink!!!

Sorry about Guayacanes Annie!!!
