Default Pescaderia (near Barahona)

I would like to find out as much as possible about the small town of Pescaderia, near Barahona. I will be there for about a month this summer and don't yet know much about the place, besides the name. I lived and worked in Cabarete for about a year (a year or so ago) but haven't been to the SW part of the country. If anybody has spent time in Pescaderia I would welcome any info or insight.

Thanks.

I have lived in the neighbouring village of La Hoya for nearly four years. Pescaderia is a poor community but very charming with multicoloured wooden houses surrounded by platain fields and sugar cane. I work for a UK/US charity called COPA we run two schools and two clinics in the area. Please feel free to email me with any questions, I would be interested to hear what you are up to in our neck of the woods.

Our websites are www.copa.org.uk or www.copausa.org

Regards

David
