Any chance you could tell us where some of those hotels are located, for future travelers?

OK Rocky here is their website....Aparta Hotel Pontevedra

Mariluz in their day manager and all the people there are very friendly (specially if you appreciatte their work). Some cabins are better than others but all are in good shape.

Haven't jumped in a couple of years now. I ended up selling my gear. Just got back from a trip to Spain a week ago. Posted some video clips of the trip to my YouTube account:

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

Mostly just family stuff though. My grandfather (who is from the DR) now lives in Spain and had is 100th birthday.

I saw them. Your grandad looks good. Hope he has many more years ahead of him. The Sancocho looked inviting to say the least. Nice shots, specially liked to see the Plaza de Toros and the architecture in general. This was in Murcia??

Sorry Motorcycler. How much time does it take to drive to Barahona from SD?

OK it takes between 2.5-3.5 hours. This time we flew into SDQ and a couple of associates picked us up at the airport and took us to the Caribe Tours terminal. ON the express bus it took us right around 3½ hours. When we go from the ferry terminal in Santo Domingo to Barahona on our bikes, just shy of 2½ hours with a 15 minute stop at the Ocoa crossing.

The road to Barahona from Santo Domingo is not too bad. Between Najayo and Bani there is a lot of construction going on which can slow you down on a bad day. After Azua though the road is much better.

If you need someone in Barahona to guide you around do let me know. We found an honest person there who has taken us everywhere and have now used his services for 3 years in a row as we do the Barahona Tour on the bikes.

Very reliable and everyone knows him...no matter where we go.

Yup, Murcia. About 4 hours south of Madrid by train.
