Tours to Bahia de las Aguilas

Hi all

Any ideas on tourst to Bahia de las Aguilas? Am in Barahona at the moment, and have tried emailing and phoning Eco Tours, but with no luck.

The number I´ve used is 1 809 243 1190, but it keeps saying to call back later.

You can get a bike or truck taxi from any of the hotels in Pedernales - Dona Chava, Dolio Mendez-- to drive you to the Pueblo de Pescadores where there is a restaurant where the boats leave for Bahia. As I remember - it costs about 1500 pesos for a boat to take you out and back and the boat will hold about 14 so the bigger the group the better... or arrive early and wait for perhaps another group. Make sure that you take a good sunhat, lotion, and bug spray as there is little shelter from the sun at Bahia... But AHHHH what a spectacular beach-- completely undeveloped.. well worth it.. e

You may also have to pay a slight park fee of 20 pesos. Remember there is nothing out there. So you should bring food and water. Also take it back with you.
