What does "Papi" mean and appropriate to say?

It's a good discussion. Now do dominican ladies also refer to men as "tripode", kinda like honey, or dear? I heard my gf use that a couple times to some guys, I don't know what to think about it. I don't even know what the word means.

Now, this is getting good... A 'tripode' is a tripod, like an easel that artists use to hold up their canvas while they paint...it has 3 long legs...thus your girlfriend's comments to some guys she knows are analogies to a tripod...do you really need further explanation?

My friend in Mexico told me papi meant 'sexy' or 'hot'. But I guess it doesn't matter because this is really old I doubt bdj is still looking at this.
