I posted this info some time ago in a similar thread. If you are interested in bakás, ciguapas, galipotes, and other things things that go *bump* in the dark, Dominican nights read "Mitos, Creencias y Leyendas Dominicanas" by Dr. Guaroa Ubiñas Renville (Ediciones Librería La Trinitaria). Ok, so it's in Spanish, but what did you expect?

Thank you for the information Chiri. I've just ordered a copy off of amazon.

Ken should print up more copies of his book, it is practically impossible to buy. I bought a used copy in fair condition and paid 20$. The other copies availiable were 90$ or more.
