How to write a date in Spanish

Hi everyone!

Can someone tell me how to correctly write a date in Spanish.

For example if I was writing January 2nd, 2008 in English, how would I write it in Spanish? How do you translate 2nd? the nd that we put on the end of the number is throwing me off...help please! Thank you!

if its on a business letter it would be
2 de Enero, 2008
28 de Febrero, 2007

or if its for a wedding invitation you would write it out
Dos de Enero del 2008 or
Veinteiocho de Febrero del Dos mil siete
