That's why at the end he says, quoting the woman who doesn't want anything from him anymore: "uno no da la vida entera pa' que lo engañen," which means that you don't give your whole life to someone for that person to cheat on you.

That is one of my FAVORITE bachata songs, my kids love it because when I was in the states I played it no less than 10 times a day because it reminded me of Sajoma.
