Travel between Santo Domingo & Punta Cana

Hello,

Can someone give me advise on the best way to travel between Santo Domingo and Punta Cana? I've looked at renting a car, but I'm not sure I want to take the risk. I understand there might be buses, but I don't know where to go to get info, times or rates.

Yes, there is a wealth of info in the archives. However, with respect to time schedules, prices, etc., remember the info is probably out of date. For example, all bus fares have been raised within last couple of months due to the falling peso and rising fuel prices.
