Default Driving to Samanà

Greetings all!

I'm going to be in the DR next week, and plan to drive a rental car from Bayahibe to the Samanà region. I know that this should be done in the daytime, and am planning accordingly. I'd like to get some route recommendations... is it necessary to drive back to SD and then from there north and east, or would it be OK to go through Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, etc.? All suggestions welcome!

Default have fun

I made that trip some time back and went threw Santo Domingo then north. Drive north to Pierdra Blanco then take number 17 until you get to 132 follow it to Nagua and your as good as there. I would get a good map so you don't get to screwed up,which will probably happen anyway. It's been more than a year since I drove that route but it was pretty good then.

Have a good trip

Thanks! I already got a map, and the itinerary you suggest seems very good! Do you remember how long it took?
