Default taxi from SDQ to Hamaca Coral in Boca Chica

Hi,

I am travelling with a group of six in February. We were wondering what to expect to pay to get from sdq to Hamaca Coral by Hilton in Boca Chica. Are there any deals if we book in advance of our arrival?

Also any tips on day trips from this resort would be greatly appreciated. We are willing to head off resort to find better deals.

Thank you very much.

Eighteen dollars plus a tip if you like. Quite high for 10 Km., but you are subject to set fares. Haggling can't hurt but may be a waste of time.

Is that price per person, or is it for all six of us??? What do we need to do at the airport once we arrive???

Thank you so much.

Not per person, one price.
You'll see the taxi stand when you come out.
They may try to gouge you if you arrive late at night.

Make sure you ask the driver to stop outside of the airport and get a presidente for the ride.

Insist on a "camioneta" (which is a van not a car) as for six of you a taxista will certainly try to cram you into a 1990 Toyota with the luggage hanging out the windows if he is next in line.

The price is for the trip, not $108 for you 6 of you.

NB: En espanol, the number is dieceocho dollares US (dee-ez-ee-owe-cho doll-are-ess estados unidos)

Default The Grand Pavo strikes again!

I do not know what you are quoting, the offical rate is still $20 USD for a Taxi Turista for up to 4 persons including luggage.

A "camioneta" will cost no more than US$35 for the Van.
Rafael Silva who is trustworthy and used by many on this site quotes $35.

Can you do it for less if you speak Spanish, yes, is it worth it if being split six ways?
