They may be set, but I'm sure you can get it from $20 to $25 US.

Friends take to Boca Chica, i then pay $RD400 to be taken back to SDQ.

The rates at the taxi stand are set at about $20US. You might be able to negotiate with some of the in "independent" drivers.

The official price is US$18 and if you tell them that vs. the other way around it is $18. Per car not per person.

An interesting feature of DR1 is the ability to search as this EXACT question was posted about a week ago.
