Question Bus from Capitol to Punta Cana?

I heard that there is a bus on Maximo Gomez that you can take to go to Punta Cana for about 70 pesos. Has anyone heard of this? If so, where can I take the nus at Punta Cana to go back to Santo Domingo? Thanks.

Expreso Bavaro has departures from Santo Domingo at 7, 10, 2 and 4 pm. Tel. 809 682-9760. They are located in Santo Domingo at Juan Sanchez Ramirez No. 31, near Maximo Gomez's Supermercado Nacional. In Punta Cana you take the bus at any of three stops -- Coco Loco, Riu, Friusa or Parada Sitrabapu. Tel. 809 552-1678. Cost now is RD$230 one way.

$20 USD Departure Tax?

Thanks...haven't been in PUJ in a loooonnnggg time!!! Can't wait 'till Monday!!!

MQ

OMG!! THE PHONE # IS NOT CORRECT...THE RIGHT ONE IS 809-682-9670

I had a very hard time getting someone to understand what I was asking at the other number, until I called the one for Punta Cana and they told me the right #...

These buses leave you in Bavaro, and you have to take a taxi to Punta Cana or to the hotels...but it's worth it...

Thanks for the info Dolores!
