Default Taxi to La Romana from Punta Cana

Hi everyone,

Can someone please let me know what the best way to get a taxi from Punta Cana Airport to the Canoa Coral (La Romana)? Should I pre book a taxi or just get a taxi when I arrive? What is a reasonable price?

Thanks for your help!

There is no need to pre book as there are taxis at the airport. The rate will be about US$ 85-90 for up to 4-5 persons. The tariff is posted on a large signboard in the parking area to the left of the arrival terminal exit.

Regards,
PJT

If you do wish to pre book and pay by visa ahead of time, log onto www.dominicantaxi.com. This is a great and reliable service and I have used them many times. I like the fact it is paid ahead of time so I just havea tip ready for the driver. Good luck!

With Dominican Taxi you are guaranteed a quality vehicle too. I likes that.

Note that when you take your taxi at the airport, you get to see the vehicle prior to contracting the service. That could be the best guarantee of a quality vehicle. You can always reject the taxi that is next in line and take the next, if it is a preferred vehicle.

Maxpatel,
Welcome to DR1. As you can see we have many members that are here to help you.

We know you will enjoy your stay with us here in paradise and would ask that when you get back home if you would be so kind as to give us a report in the "Trip Report" forum. Just tell us about your experiences and it would be greatly appreciated.

Rick

Default Punta Cana to La Romana

Can anyone tell me how long it takes to travel from Punta Cana airport to La Romana? I will be provided transportation through Apple but want to make sure it will be worth the drive for a 4 day 3 night weekend.

Thanks in advance.

The transit time will be around 1.5 - 2.0 hours depending on traffic density, road conditions, and the boldness of your driver.
