Sabana de la mar to Punta Cana
Going from Sabana de la Mar to Punta Cana may take 2-3 hours depending on the condition of the Sabana de la Mar-Nisibon-Higuey road (along the northeastern coast). This road has been in repair for several years, but it would be much faster to take this road than to go from Sabana de la Mar to Hato Mayor-El Seibo-Higuey-Punta Cana.
From Sabana de la Mar you take the road to Nisibon and from there you continue on route to Higuey, but a few Km. before arriving to Higuey there is a small town called La Otra Banda, where you take the road to Punta Cana-Bavaro.
