Cheapest way from La romana airport to Santo domingo...

For someone looking for the cheapest mode of transport from La romana airport to Santo domingo city...Im assuming it would be taking a taxi from La romana airport to a Bus stop and taking a bus to Santo Domingo city..Im correct?if yes what is the cost of the taxi and then this bus?
if this isnt the cheapest what is it?Luggage is not a problem as they just have a small back pack with them

For the distance the bus stop is from airport, count on 20 dollars for taxi.
Bus should be about 130-150 pesos.

You may also try a backpacker's way. SITRAIHR is a service Higuey-Romana and besides express busses they also have small buses that stop around every corner. You may want to get outside the airport and catch this bus (guagua voladora) there.

If this doesn't work out, let taxi take you to the intersection in front of casa de campo (cost approx 15 dollars or less) and take a motoconchos that are stationed there.
