Transport South Coast SDQ to Bayahibe

Hi,

Do such things as buses run from SDQ airport along the south coast??

If so are they regular?

Maybe every hour or so - that sort of thing?

Anyone can advise on car or motor bike hire - costs and where to find?

Be grateful for any / all info.

No buses from SDQ airport.

You have 2 options.

1) Take a taxi to Parque Enriquillo and take a bus to La Romana - expreso SICHOEM. Costs about 120 pesos.
From La Romana, take the Bayahibe bus (small guagua) for about 30 minute ride.

2) get to the underpass in las Americas (3 km from the airport) towards la Romana and flag down the la Romana bus (small guagua).
From La Romana, take the Bayahibe bus (small guagua) for about 30 minute ride.

I recomend option #1, it is very fast and a great price. The other thing is a taxi ride which could be costing around $100 USD. I have paid less, from a friend of a friend of who used to play baseball with a friend of...but just a general taxi ride is around that price.

Hi GringaRubia and rubio_higuey,
I'm arriving by the metro bus from Sosua to the city of santo domingo at the end of Oct. Can one take the metro bus line to Casa de Campo, and if there is is another bus service, how far is the resort from La Romana town.
I may want to find a cheeper place, non inclusive before my check in dates for golf. Also any places in La Romana or close to the resort that I should suggest 4 the night w/ 10 other crazy guys?
Any help would be very helpful in deed.
