Alcohol and food

hey all... i'll be in Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach Bayahibe on valentines weekend,
1) which city is nearby with good SPANICH DR food... the last thing i need is
to go to DR for italian food.
2) also where is better to buy alcohol JFK duty free, SDQ duty free or in the
DR CITIES?
3) what are the "must see" sites/places?

La Romana is the nearest city but I'm sure there are also some typical Dominican places in Bayahibe itself, probably specialising in seafood. You have a point though, Bayahibe is very Italian dominated (which is fine AFAIK!)
