STI to Cabarete or Sosua.
I just returned from another great visit to the DR and wanted to relay one experience. I drove the Turistica road twice from Santiago to Sosua. Then I drove the road from Sosua via Sabeneta and Moca to the Santiago airport. I would definitely recommend the latter. I had an economy rental and this may have effected my experience as maybe in an SUV or pickup truck you would be less cautious but the Turistica road is pretty bad and I spent a lot of time avoiding potholes. So I would recommend turning left immediately outside the airport and take this road(Mella?) to 14 and then to 12 to Sabeneta. Ed
